This is an interesting article on fan fiction. I’d consider myself a Lambs girl mainly because I have never read Twilight and don’t intend to (I have seen the movies, although they are getting harder and harder to watch).

This also reminds me of when I was 14 and I printed out pages upon pages of Gambit/Rogue X-Men fan fiction. I mean, the amount of paper I wasted because I refused to read things off a computer screen could have wall-papered our house. I simultaneously feel like I understand the whole fan-fiction thing having been into myself but also feel like I out-grew it years ago. But then again, I have read all the Sookie Stackhouse books…

Death of a Bodega and then some.

Things like this kill me. Partially because of the idea that a bodega is being bulldozed for what sounds like another high-priced high-rise in my old neighborhood, but also because this beautiful theater that no one remembers is going to disappear too. I hate that we tear down beautiful old things and replace them with ugly new things. This a smaller scale loss but Penn Station, anyone?
